SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY DECADE
The exhibition ‘Science and Technology Decade’ is not just limited to the display of achievements of modern science, its perspectives, and high scientific potential of Russia. Everyone who visits the exhibition will be able to find their own scientific path and make science part of their lives due to interactive installations and QR codes that store information about public initiatives and projects.
DESIGN
We created a strong identity for this exhibition emphasizing unique character of each hall
When thinking about the design, we wanted to show both the high adaptability of science and connections with the elements of human life today. The aim was to demonstrate that science and education in Russia play an important role in everyday life and in driving progress, and creating the world of the future.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITIONS
The main aim of the exhibition is to show all the variety of modern science and its possibilities.
We implemented a lot of interactive mechanics to show the visitors how vast the activities of modern scientists are. In the halls, the visitors can see the configuration of a supersonic airplane, stitch a set of genes into DNA molecules and become a breeder, and use Kinect to start the movement of water, leaves, or pieces of ice.
AREA FOR CHILDREN
This exhibition is child-friendly – in all halls, we implemented interactive installations to engage younger visitors
Children find themselves in a typical apartment where they can read short stories about how everyday objects, devices, and food are made. Children can see pictures of plants and even pluck a fruit to look at it better thus learning about selection. Or they can build their own ecosystem using building blocks.
MEDICINE DEVELOPMENT
A special attention is paid to the development of modern medicine
We demonstrate how a new image of a medical facility is created where your heart rate does not increase with fear and you feel the atmosphere of care, warmth, and peace. Each visitor can see the difference between the types of diagnostic tests (ultrasound, X-ray, or nuclear) on his or her hand, learn about the immune system and how new generation implants are developed.
PROJECTS OF THE FUTURE
Projects of the future are the keynote of the exhibition: demonstration of science and young scientists support program
There is an interactive screen that responds to touch and visitors can learn more about support programs, completed projects, and perspectives. A projection show demonstrates the evolution of university spaces and modern campuses. At the end of the exhibition, a young scientist speaks about the role of science in everyday life.
SCIENCE 360°
The project ‘Our Lab’ presents equipment, reagents, and supplies for a demonstration laboratory
A theme-based module changes every month. The exhibition can boast of a unique collection of virtual tours across laboratories in Russian scientific and educational institutions.
